Data stored on your device
Vested stores your fitness preferences, optional age range and height, body weight, current walking baseline, generated plan, completed-workout history, perceived-effort check-ins, and comfort check-ins locally on your device. This information is used to personalize the app’s features.
Location
If you permit location access, Vested uses location while an outdoor workout is active to calculate distance and pace. Vested does not sell precise location data. Circle members are never shown your precise location, route, or live location.
Apple Health
If you authorize Apple Health access, Vested can read the step total, workout information, sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, body weight, height, and age information you choose to share and can write completed walking workouts and associated distance to HealthKit. Body measurements and age information are used only to fill your private profile and personalize your plan. Apple controls HealthKit permissions. Vested does not use HealthKit data for advertising and does not sell it.
Music, calendar, and reminders
If you connect Apple Music, Apple controls access to your music library. Vested can open Apple Music or Spotify but does not receive Spotify account credentials. Add to Calendar uses write-only access for the walk you select; Vested does not read your calendar. Reminders are scheduled locally through Apple’s notification system.
Sharing and Circles
Achievement cards are rendered on your device and shared only through the iOS share sheet to an app or person you choose. Vested does not upload your contacts.
Circle names, display names, weekly walk counts and goals, cheers, RSVPs, feed messages, and scheduled walks may sync through Apple CloudKit when iCloud is available. Circle friends are never shown your precise location, route, pace, carried weight, detailed workout history, or Apple Health data.
Website and launch-list email
If you submit your email through this website, it is used only for Vested launch and product updates. It may be processed by the service used to operate the mailing list. Vested does not sell that information or use it for cross-company advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Vested receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock membership features but does not receive your complete payment-card details.
Analytics and advertising
The app collects a limited set of anonymous product-interaction events—such as onboarding completion, workout starts and completions, paywall views, and purchase outcomes—together with a randomly generated installation identifier, app version, and build number. Vested uses this information to understand reliability, activation, subscription conversion, and retention.
App analytics do not include your name, email address, body details, route, precise location, HealthKit information, Circle content, or detailed workout results. The installation identifier is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and anonymous product analytics can be turned off in Vested Settings.
Vercel processes product-analytics events for Vested. Vested deliberately does not forward app-request cookies or IP addresses into product analytics. The Vested website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and launch-list actions. Vested does not use app or website analytics for advertising, and the app contains no third-party advertising SDK.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you use Delete local Vested data in Settings or remove the app from your device. HealthKit data is managed separately in Apple Health. Shared Circle records remain governed by the creator’s iCloud sharing controls and may sync back if you continue participating. You can ask to be removed from the launch list through the contact details below.
Children
Vested is a general fitness product for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
